Josh Kenji is an multicultural, multinational, multiracial actor and cross-disciplinary artist based in Seattle, WA. His background in theatre, opera, and musical theatre informs his process in creating across artistic borders. Growing up in Tokyo, Boston, and the Seattle area has shaped his identity as a Japanese, ハーフ, Japanese-American, and Norwegian-American artist. He is passionate about bringing diversity to voices onstage and off. In his spare time he is an avid yoga practitioner and enjoys frequenting his local coffee shops.
Josh is a recent graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance, and Bachelors' of Arts in both Drama performance and Musical Theatre. He has worked on projects with Seattle theatres including Sound Theatre Company, Café Nordo, ACT, Seattle Rep, Village Theatre, and 5th Ave Theatre. He was also a member of a ThinkTank with ACT's artist in residence, Lucia Neare, and is passionate about making the act of theatre accessible beyond proscenium stages.
